SPECIFICATIONS FOR DIGITAL ARTWORK
1. Files via e-mail

3. MacIntosh Disk Formats
1.44 MB Floppy Disk, 100 MB Iomega ZIP,
1 or 2 GB Iomega JAZ, CD-ROM
4. Preferred File Formats for MacIntosh & PC
Illustrator 8.0 and Freehand 7.0 documents should be saved as original vector documents. Non-vector documents should be saved as Photoshop TIFF files.
5. Resolution of 4-Color Process Files

Example: To go from a 4-inch wide original to a 12 inch wide final image, the calculation for scan would be as follows:
12" x 600 DPI=7200
4 x 2.5=10

Note: All 4-Color process files must be saved as CMYK TIFF files at 55 lines per inch with elliptical dots, angles set as follows: Cyan at 105°, Magenta at 75°, Yellow at 90° and Black at 45°.
6. Black & White Halftones
Use elliptical dots at 55 lines per inch at 45°
7. Fonts
Fonts should be "converted to paths" or "create outlines." If this is not possible, copies of all fonts used must be included on the transfer disk or linked to the e-mail.
Note: Postscript Fonts - Both the screen and printer fonts are necessary and must be included.
8. Proofs
Please send the largest color or black & white example of how you want the finished print to look. Include your suggestion for size of finished print.
Important Notes:
To ensure highest quality prints, please include copies of all image files, lasers and fonts used in your files. If any revisions are necessary, we will call you to discuss changes prior to production. We will submit a final proof for customer approval.
Due to varying computer systems, software programs, screen printing inks and fabric textures, exact color matches are not guaranteed. We will make every reasonable effort to match as closely as possible any Pantone Coated Color Swatch or full color copy submitted.

Our goal at Haas-Jordan is to provide you the most cost effective way to get your graphics onto our umbrellas. We have years of experience replicating and rebuilding customers logos, we do it every day, and we do it at a very low cost to our customers. To do this means that we need to start with the cleanest, sharpest, most accurate artwork that you can possibly supply to us.
The following are guidelines requested for supplying either black and white camera ready art or digital graphic files. If you have any questions regarding art requirements please call our Graphic Arts Department at (419) 243-2189.
HAAS-JORDAN BY WESTCOTT CAMERA READY ARTWORK:
CAMERA READY ART
1. Camera ready art is the final draft of any artwork, lettering, photo, graphic that has been adjusted to its final perfect form for screen-print or offset print reproduction.
PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT "CAMERA READY ARTWORK".
2. It is always best to send the largest, sharpest artwork available. We will adjust to the final size needed, unless otherwise specified.
3. When submitting artwork please indicate, final requested size, PMS ink color, and position of logo on umbrella. If size and positioning are not indicated, we will maximize the imprint size and position on the center of the panel of the umbrella being purchased.
4. Never fold artwork, place a sheet of cardboard with the artwork to prevent folding during shipment.
5. Please provide registration marks, center marks and print order (from light to dark) on separate pages for each color in multi-colored artwork applications.
After receiving your artwork, we will review the submission and notify you of any additional art charges that may be required. |
